Bitcoin's gains this week are likely supported by improved risk sentiment following the extension of the U.S.-Iran cease-fire, says Rachael Lucas, crypto analyst at BTC Markets. Easing tensions are encouraging investors to rotate back into risk assets, helping bitcoin reach its highest level since early February, Lucas says. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs filing for its first spot Bitcoin ETF may be providing additional support, reflecting growing institutional conviction in the asset class. The market appears to be responding positively, with bitcoin consolidating its gains in a range-compression phase, she says. The $80,000 level remains a key near-term threshold, with how bitcoin behaves at that level likely to set the tone for the next leg of price action, she adds. Bitcoin is 0.3% lower at $78,190.06.
